Dismissal
All students (including Pre-K and K) will use car line on the first day of school. Please note that Monday is a NOON dismissal and ALL students will be using car line. Please be patient and considerate. Carline will move much faster after the first day when students begin the Extended School Program.
Please display your child’s name on a piece of paper on the passenger side window to assist patrols with dismissal. We will provide a laminated sign to display in your car window after the first day of school. Please inform your child's teacher in writing if you participate in a carpool. After the first day, students will be grouped according to carpools.
Patrols and Faculty Members will supervise students as they enter their cars. Please follow the directions listed below.
Parents line up in front of the school on Arnold Street toward the parish office driveway starting at the light pole marked with the orange cone. We ask that parents do not pull in front of the line and exit your car to retrieve your child(ren) from car line. Students are not dismissed past the pole. The line continues in the church parking lot. Remaining cars line up behind the orange cones in the church parking lot. Patrols will direct you. Please be patient and considerate. It takes a few days to get carline procedures down to 15 minutes. Teachers and patrols will direct cars down the road, and your children will follow you on the sidewalk. Please do not stop when you first see your child.
Walkers go out with car line and are escorted across the street by teachers or staff after all cars are gone. Students not picked up in car line by 3:30 p.m. will sign-in to ESP beginning August 6th. Parents must come into the school and sign out their children. For safety reasons, NO CHILD MAY BE ON THE SCHOOL GROUNDS WAITING UNSUPERVISED FOR ANY REASON.
Occasionally, parents need to park at the rectory and come into the office to sign out their children for early dismissal. This may be done before 3:00 p.m. or 2:15 p.m. on Wednesdays. Please understand that NO student may be picked up between 3:00-3:15 or 2:15-2:30 on Wednesdays as our office is preparing for dismissal. If your transportation arrangements change, contact the office via email [email protected] before 3:00pm
